Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University
Scientific school of land management and cadastre was founded on Biology, Ecology and Biotechnology Faculty of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University on 1998 by Professor I.I. Nazarenko. The main purpose of creation this scientific school was providing west region of Ukraine by land surveyors. Today our university is the only one in Chernivtsi region which provide land management higher education. Land management and cadastre section was in structure of Soil Studies and System of Land Tenure Department and on September 1, 2009 was reorganized into structural division as Land Management and Cadastre Department. Biology, Ecology and Biotechnology Faculty was reorganized into Biology, Chemistry and Bioresources Institute on September 1, 2013.
Licence documents for ability to training the students in Land Management and Cadastre specialty that were preparing by our experts, had positive results from Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. So, the Land Management and Cadastre Department trains specialists granting the following Bachelor’s (4 years) and Master’s (5 years or 5 years and 6 month) degrees of full-time and part-time studying in Land Management and Cadastre specialty.
Preparation of the research and educational personnel is conducted through postgraduate study and doctoral studies. Chairman of the department is associate professor, PhD Bespalko Ruslan Ivanovych.
The main goal of our department is a theoretical and practical training highly skilled land surveyors which closely combines with educational and work practices.
During training, students of Land Management and Cadastre specialty gain knowledge in land legislation, bases of land management and cadastre, geodesy and cartography, geoinformation technologies.
Highly skilled teachers of different faculties providing lectures and practical training also in humanitarian, social, economic and fundamental disciplines that gives the opportunity to get classical university education.
Department staff constantly works on improvement of methodical providing the main disciplines and special courses, efficiency increasing of laboratory works and practice, seminar training, educational and work practices, defenses of term paper, bachelor’s and master’s degree projects.
Today our department has the right to training such licensed volume of experts: Bachelor degree - 80, Master degree (5 years) - 50, Master degree (5 years or 5 years and 6 month) - 20.
Biology, Chemistry and Bioresources Institute of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University has potent scientific and methodical, material and technical base for high-quality higher education providing, in land management and cadastre.
Training of teachers takes place in the leading scientific centers: The State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, National Aviation University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, State Ecological Academy of Post Graduate Education and Management.
